Madrid - The Spanish company "Proinsur", specialized in plastic injection for car accessories, has opened a factory in the free zone of Tangier, said Monday the Plastics Technology Center of Andalusia (Andaltec).
The opening of this two-million Euro factory in Morocco is a part of the action plan of the Spanish company to expand its activities into foreign markets, said Andaltec in a statement, adding that the purpose is to forge partnerships with companies operating in Morocco in the car industry.
Spreading over an area of 2,500 square meters, the unit of "Proinsur" in Tangier is fully equipped with the most modern facilities to ensure the proper functioning and development of the company operations, added the same source.
The setting up of this factory in Morocco, in a context marked by the international economic crisis, aims to strengthen the company’s presence abroad, said the manager of “Proinsur” Manuel Cazorla.
For his part, the manager of Andaltec José Maria Navarro said that the opening of a “Proinsur” factory in Tangier is an “important step” towards the development and diversification of the Spanish firm activities, which is a reference in the field of thermoplastic injection and industrial production, he said.
Founded in 1993, “Proinsur” has a platform in Jaén (southern Spain), which covers an area of 10,000 square meters.
